Our Featured Orphan for December...
Jordan came to visit someone who didn'€™t know him. That person couldn't find Jordan's owners so Homeward Bound took him in so that he could get neutered, vaccinated, etc. and he could go to adoption events. Jordan is about 1-1/2 yrs old and is anxious to find his forever home. He likes being at his foster mom's house. He has lots of playmates and enjoys his buddies, but it just isn't the same as having a family to call his own. He'd gladly give up all his buddies if he could find just the family for him. If you want more information on Jordan, please write firstname.lastname@example.org
Remember to Spay and Neuter!
With spring comes new kittens and puppies. Homeward Bound and other rescue groups try very hard to save as many animals as possible, but we cannot save all the animals. Help prevent the loss of millions of innocent lives by spaying or neutering your pet. You will save lives.
God Chose My Color
When you walk by
I smile at you.
My tail shows all my love.
When you walk past
I lower my head.
Have I not been enough?
When they walk past
With another puppy,
His color chocolate brown,
I wonder why
God made me black,
If that's what will put me down?
If You Can...
If you can start the day without caffeine
If you can get going without pep pills
If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains
If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles
If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it
If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time
If you can overlook it when those who love you take it out on you when, through no fault of yours, something goes wrong
If you can take criticism and blame without
If you can ignore a friend’s limited education and never correct him
If you can resist treating a rich friend better than a poor friend
If you can face the world without lies or deceit
If you can conquer tension without medical help
If you can relax without liquor
If you can sleep without the aid of drugs
If you can say honestly that deep in your heart you have no prejudice against creed, color, religion or politics
Then, my friend, you are almost as good as your dog.
